Sailing Canoe There are a range of different canoes on offer from 2 to 12 man and even one with sails! 'Canoe adventures' specialize on the tidal Dart between Totnes and Dartmouth. It is one of the most beautiful navigable rivers in the country, while its upper freshwater reaches offer excellent white water canoeing from October to January inclusive. A favourite starting point for Canoe trips is the sheltered water of Bow Creek at Tuckenhay, another is Longmarsh Slip in Totnes. Further "ports of call" include Dittisham, Stoke Gabriel and Dartmouth. Many other stopping points are available - accessible only from the water. Trips can also be made on the Yealm and at Salcombe.
